2019/20 Event Support Program

next round will Open May 2020

Mount Barker District Council has and will continue to be supportive of local events that provide our communities with either economic or social benefit. Council’s Event management team has reviewed the process for the program of community and tourism event support across the district. We are continuing an expression of interest process, for the 2019/2020 financial year, and invite you to participate by completing an Expression of Interest form in the first instance.

Please complete this form if you or your community group are considering running an event at all during 2019/20 financial year, even if you do not have all the details required.

  • Completion will at least indicate to Council that you may have something we can consider for reservation of Sponsorhsip dollars or in-kind support.

An example; you may be a group that is considering running a festival in March/April in 2020- we do not expect that you would have finalised dates/ times/ performers/ nor know exactly what assistance you may need form Council.

The funds available may not allow us to support all events with cash contribution, however there are ways which we can assist all events with in kind support.

  • Cash Sponsorship is subject to final budget allocation, tourism event costs and the assessment of expressions of interest recieved from across the district.
  • We are also committed to ensuring transparent and equitable investment across the district

**Please note; we only support activities run in the Mount Barker District Council Area & we will NOT fund an entire event (there must be other financial stakeholders)


Please note that all event organisers / community groups must complete this form regardless of whether you have been funded in the past.
